Ancona Ducks

Oh does anyone know when they can finally go in the water? I think it's two weeks, right?
Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks says 2 to 4 weeks. I think it depends on whether or not the ducklings have access to their mom and her oil gland—if mom's around, they get their oil from her to keep themselves buoyant until their gland starts producing; if she's not present and the water isn't shallow enough for them to touch bottom, you have to supervise them to make sure they don't drown.

Alright that's good to know. We are actually raising them with no mama cause they're our first. Yay
