My guess is there's a great chance they will. All I've read about anconas tracks with what we've experienced, though some egg laying estimates for this breed are on the extreme low end compared to what we've seen from our girls.@sierraforest that sounds wonderful, I hope our ducks turn out like that.
Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks says 2 to 4 weeks. I think it depends on whether or not the ducklings have access to their mom and her oil gland—if mom's around, they get their oil from her to keep themselves buoyant until their gland starts producing; if she's not present and the water isn't shallow enough for them to touch bottom, you have to supervise them to make sure they don't drown.Oh does anyone know when they can finally go in the water? I think it's two weeks, right?
