Thank you for that!Blacks and blues with red or gold leakage, more gold than the lemon blues but less than the BBRs.
Your best bet is probably to breed him to a black/blue hen with leakageYes, I am very happy with his coloring, and want to keep that color going.

Depends on what you view as “good”. I imagine you would get some chicks that are pretty similar looking to him (in terms of color) if you cross him to any breed with a columbian or birchen pattern.Ok, thank you!
What would be good breeds to cross with him?

You’ll probably get some offspring like him (black with leakage), and maybe some with partial lacing or gold/silver over their entire body. Since he appears to be gold/silver split, you could get male offspring with silver or goldish colors like him and silver or gold female offspring.Ok!
What would the offspring look like if I crossed him over a SLW? In theory..
Do Lavender Orpingtons. Those are my favorites.Well, most of my projects went down the drain...
I had my breeder hens die, I had to sell some, and certain projects just won't be doable in my situation.
I'm still doing some, though!
I'll update as soon as I can.
