I've never seen an albino Lady Amherst....doesn't mean it's not possible!I recently homed a 2019 Lady Amherst, the chap who I got him from said he was selling due to losing the hen.
He also said that previous chicks came out albino?
Has anyone ever heard/seen this happen before?
Should I question the fertility of my new friend
Yeah, I tried searching to see if such a thing was possible but not a thing shows up…I've never seen an albino Lady Amherst....doesn't mean it's not possible!
Can you post pics of your bird?
Wow Thats fantastic then, thanks for that. Although I didn’t find his actual page I found this old post from WPA so will keep searching. You'd have to find him on facebook. They're healthy it's actually a myth that all albino or leucistic animals have issues. The myth got started when people found albinos in already very inbred populations. Since albino is recessive it tends to appear more in closely related populations. The breeder in question is doing enough outcrossing to keep his healthy.
