Air sac on the side of the egg?

Wasn’t sure where to post this question.

I’ve noticed when I boil my brown eggs the air sacs are leaving a dent on the side of the egg instead of the base. It’s not happening on my white or blue/green eggs. Only my tan and brown ones. Is this a sign something is wrong? Are they still safe to eat? I gathered these two days ago, rinsed them, dried them and put them straight in the fridge. I did have an issue with scales mites it seemed last week and I Vaselined everyone’s legs twice, they look better, scales look flatter but they are due for another lathering. Could that affect it?

I wouldn't know either but I know that vaselining their feet/legs nor the scaly leg mites would have anything to do with it. I've actually seen that a time or two and never thought anything of it. Ours are silkie eggs though.

Perfectly safe, just an oddity.
When you open the brown egg raw is the air cell on the side?
Have you tried candling them to take a look?

I haven’t looked. I’ve been storing them in a basket in the fridge instead of in a carton. Do you think that could affect it? I’ll try candling the ones I bring in today and maybe track to see if it changes?
