Age

Is there a way to age a hen?
Is there a way to age a Rooster?

I don't believe so.
At least I've never heard of one.

Not accurately, but an old bird does look old, legs are thicker, movement is a bit slower, they tend to rest a bit more, and their beaks seem bigger, and the wattles seem more wrinkly.

While I could not tell the difference between a two year old and a three year old, I am pretty sure I could tell which bird was older between a 2 year old and a 5yo.

But I have never heard of a measure like a year ring on a tree.
