5 week Old Australian Araucana? Hen/Roo?

Hey BYCers, I've got a black 5-week old chick that needs sexing. Also we suspect it might be a pure Australian Araucana. We know for certain daddy is an Araucana but unsure of mum. Any ideas?

Looks female, but I would check back with new picture in a couple of weeks to be sure.

Aruacanas are pretty tricky to sex, I couldn't tell for absolute sure till 11 weeks with mine. At this stage I would guess female, but it is a just a guess.

Hmm, tough One…. I would “guess” female, but those feathers look rather iridescent and sleek. (I know hens can have that too, but still.)

I was thinking cockerel with that pink comb. I am bad at sexing though.

Hey @JedJackson, @TheFatBlueCat, @CrazyCochin, @STACEYH, @TheCluckyClucker2, and @Overo Mare, thank you all for your contribution. I'll post back here again when he/she is 11 weeks old. The breeder said it took them a long time to sex their chicks too and she reckons it's a male. I'm secretly hoping it's a female as I already have two cockerels from another batch!
