Just checking in for any update, all 8 of mine hatched a day early so curious if you have any pips or peeps happening...

I think the actual day 21 is tomorrow. But I do have 8 pipping and peeping. It’s so cool being able to hear them before they hatch. 7 are of the mixed colored eggs and only 1 is the marans.

Here’s a pic through the window. A few more Marans have started to pip and 1 more of the mixed color, so about 12/25 are externally pipping.

This whiting pullet has decided she likes being inside and she’s been laying in the laundry room. They use the nest box in the coop about 1 out of every 5 eggs. The rest are scattered around different hiding spots. Everyday is like Easter

2 have hatched! An all black chick from the pink egg and a yellow and black chick from the Marans cross egg.

That first chick has all black skin and legs/beak/comb. Only the 2 middle toes are light colored.

8 of the mixed color eggs have hatched.
6 are black and 3 of those have black skin. 1 of the yellow chicks has black skin too. The fibro egg hasn’t hatched yet, but it’s zipped. It looks like it’s a light color chick. I had an olive egger die after pipping the shell. I think it drowned. I should have pulled it out of the egg when I saw bubbles.
2 of the Marans have just hatched. So 10 total now.
