Ladder Man, haven’t heard that one in a long time.
For those that don’t know/remember, that comes from a “how did you meet your spouse/partner” conversation. My first sight of him, he was up on a ladder, top half of his body was hidden from view, up in the drop-ceiling. But from the bottom half...
Hello Pond family!
Can anyone tell I had a lot of catching up to read?? :D
Seems like all is basically well, at least as far as the Pond wellness goes. :P
@OneMountainAcres i didn’t see an update on the kids ankle?
@Pyxis we need pics of Pixel in her onesie! And the new straight-run...
Thank you! I kinda skipped my birthday this year. Hubby was out of town on business most of the week, I have been doing lots of coop repairs and finally got the duck pool usable again. They are happy now.
I also found chicks on my birthday, lots of chicks! 12 to be precise. I was shocked, I...
Could be some serama. Looks silkie feathered? My silkied serama occasionally hatch a chick with a few feathers down the leg. They usually disappear within a few days as the chick grows. Yours looks a little thicker, so I would assume just a couple generations back. Any extra toes??
Here’s...

Hi there! Welcome to the Pond!
Hard for me to believe, but I wrote that original post over 6 years ago!
I do have a business license now, I sell hatching eggs, and also sell chicks locally, but it looks like you are in Georgia? I'm in West Virginia, so unfortunately can't help you there...
Spiders don’t scare me, but change that to a mouse, and I’d say hell with the phone!
And I’m sorry to laugh, but your description was so perfect, I couldn’t help it.
Glad you didn’t slip and fall or anything worse. :hugs
Good morning Pond
More new babies!
The first one, I actually rescued yesterday morning, none of the moms seemed interested in it, and it was about half dead. I put it in the incubator while I was at work, and it was all great when I got home, so I gave it to an experienced momma.
My hen and chick pic?
I took one landscape, but it cut off her beautiful tail, and she kicks all the bedding out of the box, so it looks pretty crappy. :D
