Start of day 18 here One of my eggs is behind the other two, I put it under the broody for awhile, but it wasn’t warm enough and was developing more slowly, so I moved it back into the incubator. How far behind, do you think?? Can I put all 3 eggs under the broody to hatch? Or should this one...

I do have a broody, it's because of her that I even set any eggs at all. She's just a bantam, so some went under her, the others stayed in the incubator HOWEVER, the eggs under her were developing more slowly, and at least one (likely 2) of them died. I think she just isn't able to keep them...

Super helpful, thanks!! Since it looks like it will be 2 hatching in the first batch, and only 1 or 2 in the second batch, I am pretty sure I can make something work. :)

Thanks. This is close to what I was thinking. I will repeat candling in a couple days. I don't think the broody is able to keep the eggs warm enough in our cooler weather. I think I will put all the eggs in the incubator and give her some fake eggs to sit on, and then give her the chicks after...

Trying to decide what to do… I have a broody bantam and an incubator. I incubated 8 eggs for 7 days, candled, 6 fertile. Put 4 under the broody, left 2 in incubator…. Candles on day 12. I am not confident of what I am seeing when candling. Any help? I don’t think my broody is keeping the eggs...

Well heeeey how about that! I joined and didn’t even know it! The morning of Saturday March 18 I found where my little bantam had hid her nest and was determinedly setting broody. I thought about it all day and that night I dusted off the incubator and traveled to my SIL to get some (hopefully)...
