Storing fertilized eggs in the fridge - what's the optimal humidity?

my broody laid 1 egg day after I gave her 7 eggs. all 8 hatched so I don't see why fresh eggs should wait for 1 day before setting.

Storing fertilized eggs in the fridge - what's the optimal humidity?

:lau my incubator has a fan and 3 tiny holes on the bottom of the door. I open it every day and spray/mist the eggs that are in lockdown. the eggs that do not hatch usually are infertile. very few dead in shell (mostly shipped eggs).

if you don't open incubator there might be not enough oxygen. broody hens get up every day so we should mimic that as well.

50-55 % humidity for the first 18 days then 65 % - for the chicken eggs. marans eggs need a bit less humidity.

Storing fertilized eggs in the fridge - what's the optimal humidity?

do you have any storage room or any cooler part of the house? 18 C should be ideal, 20 C ok, but I wouldn't keep the eggs on 22 C for long. 40% humidity is ok.
