Newbie trying to build a coop......need feedback please

Ive learned that ( with my coop) no bedding on the ground saves slot of effort and money! Unless you are making a floor of the coop and want to protect it. Mine it just on dirt. But every once in a while I take it out and sprinkle some hay along the floor but nothing much. I use perches and...

    Attacked duck

They can see eachother pretty much 24/7, cannot touch or get together though. I thought that the chickens would just ignore them since they see eachother everyday but I guess not :(

    Is this really a silkie?

Most definitely not a silkie! Almost looks like maybe a hybrid because of The feathering down the legs. But otherwise not at all. Silkies skin are completely black (including the comb) and the ear lobes are a teal color. So either you got a hybrid, or lied to!

    And then there were seven

Maybe hawks or other birds of prey? Even owls. Foxes and raccoons also? Coyotes can most definitley be the culprit though! Sorry for your loss :/

I was told to ask advice about a chick i made a post about.

I would most definitely keep that silkie away from the other chickens! I also have one surviving silkie that kept getting attacked, so we made her, her own coop with a run as what we like to call the "retirement home" since she is 5 years old and just wants to be spoiled! XD
