Ok yes I miss typed. That should have been India blue. I saw the parents and none were pied. The person I bought them from was unsure why the younger one has so much white but said none of hers were pied. Any gender guesses? Even if it’s totally just a guess, i understand they are pretty young.
I got 2 peafowl chicks today. They were sold to me as unsexed indigo blues. Does that look right? And if so any ideas on gender? 4 and 6ish weeks old.
2 pictures of each bird. The first 2 pictures are younger bird and the other 2 are older bird.
Thank you 😊
I bought 4 Easter egger chicks from my local farm supply store and they were sold as pullets but I really think one is a rooster. They are now 6 weeks old. The one in question is in the front. It has a really pointy tail and much more red comb compared to the other 3. Do I have a rooster?
Is it contagiuos bird to bird or only through the flies and mosquitos? I really have no way of separating they from the rest of the birds but I watch them for about an hour every night and both eating great and drinking. No behavioral changes yet (maybe fewer eggs from the hen that is old enough...
So I am new to chickens and I have never seen this before but I noticed a spot on one of my hen's combs the other day, now there are more and another hen has a little spot too. I am only seeing 2 hens with spots out of 15 so I'm hoping that it is not going to spread whatever it is... PLEASE...
Ok, so the chicks are now almost 5 weeks old... Any idea of if I have boys or girls? They all look like little girls to me but who knows?!lol

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP IN ADVANCE :)
I purchased chicks from the local feed store and the chicks came from a bin with all breeds mixed together. I picked one barred rock that I knew that's what it was but I have 3 chicks that I have no clue what they are. I was hoping someone would recognize what breed they are.
Chick #1...
Yes I was wondering how long until its "silkie normal". They are only about 11 weeks so I guess I have a ways to go. Patience is not my strong suit with these guys.
One of the chicks is definitely a rooster and his head is feathered. I took them to the vet and had them vent sexed and we are pretty sure the white one is female. She has no signs of wattles at all. I guess only time will tell. But the plastic like feathers are just weird.
