First two pics I took just now. He hatched 10/26 I think so he’s about 2 weeks old.
I assume he’s blue and he’s going to fully turn the dark blue his wing feathers are coming in as right? The contrast is just so extreme it’s throwing me off but maybe that’s normal.

Ok so I started incubating my silkie eggs 10/17 so they are about to be on day 16. Silkies tend to start hatching a bit early for me...
So, anyone know if a hens genetics will cause her to lay more male or female eggs? If I’m hatching out a disproportionate number of female chicks is that just purely coincidence or is something else possibly causing this like environmental factors etc.
