Ratproof chicken feeder
Pros: Well built
Sturdy
Cons: None
Takes care of my birds’ needs while keeping waste to a minimum…ordered my second one recently! Quality product, great customer service!
Just an ok feeder
Pros: When it works it's great.
It keeps wild birds out.
Cons: But, after a year there are replacements needed or it doesn't continue to work properly. Plus, adjustments are needed for the door to close just right. I have 2 of these and currently the mice have figured out how to get in. I contacted the owner, but the advice did not solve the problem.

Any chicken smaller than a polish will not be able to use it.
It is cheaply made, but costly.
I'd only give 3 stars as the review didn't expand on much and the feeder is just ok.

You do have to keep springs on the feeders and they are wear items that need replaced from time to time. You must have the soft close version and those were finicky as the back pressure from the soft close kit was making the doors harder to close. There is a fix though. Email me and I can send the hole drilling layout to convert your old feeders into the new dual spring version. No way in heck a mouse is getting into the feeder with double springs. You basically pull the top front cover and drill four holes to hook the springs into, drill one hole in the door, add the springs, and install the front cover. A five minute job once you have the tools at hand. You will need to buy a pack of replacement springs, three to a pack, with shipping is around $8.60.
