Pros: Large egg yield, friendly, large breed great for meat
Cons: Roos can be overly aggressive
I love this breed. They can be quite friendly, but the roos can be very aggressive with no fear of people. They are a great egg laying breed and because of their size, they are a great meat bird.
From what I've experienced with this breed is that the more time you spend with them, the more friendly they get. They are a very good egg producer. I love my Australorp.
