I ordered some baby Silky's from Idea Poultry in TX. I cant wait to get the , not till July 18 . I had Silky's a few summers ago but varmints picked them all off, so I'm excited to have them again.

Question I have a new born chick and she keeps flipping over on her back and shes chipping so loud , I turn her up right and she flips back over .... What do I do, she seems healthy...

I feel like a mad scientist trying to figure this out heheheh....

Its lockdown day again, I candled last night it looks like I have 9 of 12 moving in the shells..... Wish me luck My neighbor brought me some eggs last week to hatch most of them had the blood rings in them . Maybe 6 started to sprout babies . Question does the blood rings mean they set to long ? Was just wondering I've never had blood rings in my eggs . I seen on web blood rings means there no good.

So I've had bad bad luck this year so far.... But I think I figured it out my humility is off , the air sacks in my eggs were half of egg shell I only got 2 birds out of my 2ed hatch . So total of 10 babies So I think I got it fixed now My next hatch is due on 21 April .... Wish me luck I'm going to need it

So was checking wing feathers today on new baby chicks ,and I believe there is 4 hens 4 roo's .... It seems I always end up with alot of roo's. I tried only setting round eggs someone told me round r hens pointy r roo's .. I dont think that's the case lol. Guess I'll have to put a free rooster sign out. I have 11 grown roosters and 10 hens left from last summer. Tooooo many roo's !!!

Just went to turn my eggs and I have a pip hole in one eggs ... I'm so excited its 4 days early.. I dont see anyone else moving or pipping
