I love Juneau. Fairbanks, the interior is so much harder/colder. When I go back it's to Anchorage (Big Lake,) Homer, Juneau.

My first ever crop issue, 10-week-old Pullet

I've been doing the Clotrimazole twice/day (total of 4 doses so far); gave coconut oil once yesterday morning. She seems better this morning! Still weird crop but overall seems improved. Her balance is a bit better, crop is not quite the balloon it used to be. Its smaller and slightly firm...

    Sooooo... my waterer spilled.

Feel better. I have a waterer that doubles as a feeder and if you screw the wrong side on, tsunami in the brooder happens. Indeed I have done this. They're going to be fine so long as you are successful at getting it dry as a bone now. Don't beat yourself is what you do, stuff happens, and you...

Beautiful here too! Did anyone see the Northern Lights last night? I tried but didn't see anything, too much tree canopy. Hope my back will allow me to get some gardening done today. Have a great day!!

12 in by 12 in cubical for nest boxes

Yep I did this but the size is 15x15x13. I added a black laminate board to the back so that it's dark and they really like it. And of course a bar to hop up the top rows. I'm surprised that 12x12 looks big enough, but go for it!

My first ever crop issue, 10-week-old Pullet

Good grief I can't believe how much I OD'd her on the Corid dose 😬last night, that wasn't very smart. But she's doing okay this morning. Crop is still strange same as yesterday it does empty "some," overnight. Now she's having a hard time walking, she's high stepping and fell right off her roost...

1st treatment done. Wrapped patient in towel and administered Corid drench, I swear I give advice and send links to many people but draw a blank when I'm in the moment. She got a full syringe of Corid anyhow, and 2cc of 1% Clotrimazole. I brought liquid coconut oil with me but stopped for the...

ME too. This is perfect for my setup. We're about to do Corid drench + 1% Clotrimazole + coconut oil.

I do give chick grit. This particular chick is a chow hound and loves grit. I FINALLY have my partner in chicken treatment, 4 hands and we're heading out now to lock up and treat this lady (she needs a name eventually, I'll just call her Stevie Chicks for now.) We're reading back through many of...

She does seem to be a scrounger, always eating and pecking at everything including pine shavings.

Not yet. She will if I can get her healthy, they were just integrating with the bigs. She does have chopped up straw in her run and I've been wondering if that's a problem.
