    Forecast was for snow on the west side of the state , rain on the east side . And as always , possibly large hail , high winds , possible flooding in low areas and a tornado or 2 . Why do we stay here ? It's home .

    For confined chickens not able to eat grass , good green leafy alfalfa hay is a excellent substitution . It's also a good feed for all classes of livestock .

    I emptied the daily scrap veggie container into the garden . Have done that since last fall preparing the raised bed soil for spring planting . Terrible clay soil .

    Clean and oil is what a DIY'er would do . Sometimes lint etc . gets moving parts in a bind .
