I do have chicks- should I be extra diligent about bio controls to prevent the little ones from getting the virus? They are currently in brooder and not with the flock.

I have a silver Sebright roo who had a scab on his comb form earlier this week. I thought it was due to pecking from the other rooster and was monitoring for any signs of continued abuse or damage. Thankfully there has been no fighting from the roosters or any hen pecking...
I attached hardware cloth with staples on structure of my run. When I did an apron, I zip tied the top edge to the bottom of the vertical areas, making sure to overlap a little and add one every 8-10 squares. I can take a picture if you'd like
Yuuuppppppppp- the math hit today. Rehomed the two roosters and got three new week old hens. Pepper the Cuckoo Maran, Rosemary and Thyme the Olive Eggers.
It does seem to be, though I was a little late in getting out there today so he probably already started eating when I had checked.
