Hey duck enthusiasts!
I have a friend in Northern Utah who have a couple of wild mallards who are hanging about their property. They have named them and don't mind them in their yard doing their thing. However, the ducks seem to like hanging around their door and leaving their droppings all...
The people who were holding my chicks at the local office were infatuated by seeing them! Unsure how sick of hearing them peep at that point they were, lol
Thank you for your quick advice! I will add this into their water. Can't really do much more about stress.
I do have chicks- should I be extra diligent about bio controls to prevent the little ones from getting the virus? They are currently in brooder and not with the flock.
Title is descriptive.
I have a silver Sebright roo who had a scab on his comb form earlier this week. I thought it was due to pecking from the other rooster and was monitoring for any signs of continued abuse or damage. Thankfully there has been no fighting from the roosters or any hen pecking...
I attached hardware cloth with staples on structure of my run. When I did an apron, I zip tied the top edge to the bottom of the vertical areas, making sure to overlap a little and add one every 8-10 squares. I can take a picture if you'd like

I should note, they have clean water 24/7 and an electrolyte mix (Chick Boost) that I put out when I notice the Australorps panting. Yesterday was a bit warmer than it has...
Oh my word! I don't think ANY of us expected that!
I am so sorry to hear that she had that happen to her. Glad she is doing the best she can though. Little champion chicki
This is his first time showing any issue. He generally does not let me catch him, but when I was able to tonight his crop was relatively soft and not as crammed full as the others.
He is 2.5 months. There are three other roosters, but he bosses them about and generally runs the flock. There...
My head rooster is acting very subdued. He is sitting off by himself with his neck in and his feathers fluffed up a little.
When I gave the usual afternoon weeds to the chickens, he did not join the flock in coming over to investigate.
Only differences today from a usual day was that I gave...
I second this- Based on reading a ton of posts, this is the best bet for knowing what took her out. All we can do is speculate. So sorry for your loss <3
