I've bred Seramas for the past 8 years now to the American standard. As another post pointed out, Seramas don't breed to true to size. In fact, when selecting good breeding bird size is one of the last considerations, type and temperament should always come before size.
In my experience as...
I'm sorry to hear everyone has been having a bad past year with their birds. I can't believe people are getting desperate enough to steal roosters from people's backyeards.
Thankfully mine are doing pretty good, I lost a pullet due to egg binding and my silver ginger breeder cock from 2019...
I remember seeing on one of the longtail groups on facebook that somebody several years back tried mixing Phoenix with Silkies to do it just out of curiosity but the tail never got very long because silkie feathering is too brittle.

To be fair, the color varieties the hatcheries offer are the standard colors accepted by the APA. What I have is a few of the non APA accepted colors that are still in refinement in Phoenix's.
Dun fibro pullet. She is the result of crossing a dun hen w/ a really well feathered silver ginger roo (which is why she's got a bit of silver leakage on her neck), but I'm really happy how she turned out! I'm going to use her to help improve the feather texture, length, and fullness in the dun...
