I will get to spend time this weekend with 2 Great Grandchildren. Two girls a 2-year-old and one going on 5.

Too much drama about the weather last night. Not one drop of rain and 20 MPH wind. Then I had dreams of bad weather. Now I will need to water some plants.

Strong storms to start around 8 pm. 70-80 MPH winds. Today I mowed early before it got hot. Did some weed control - removal. Reached 90. Battling poison Hemlock, poke weed, bull thistle, burdock and others. It never ends. Miss one and millions of seeds.

This is the reason I quit raising sweet corn years ago. They don't seem to bother popcorn. Not meaty enough I guess.

Pulled 2 supers and extracted them. There is some locust honey in there.

Do you have room for vining squash? Tromboncino is a vining C. Moschetta group used as summer squash. You could also try a Parthenocarpic variety that can set seedless fruit. Caged with screen wire to keep bugs out. That is if squash Boers are your problem.

Recently replaced phone. My photo problem is with my camera card into my laptop. I will have to take laptop fix my gadget. Phone to computer I am too dumb for that.

88 yesterday and 84 predicted today. Technology is kicking my butt lately. I can no longer import photos from my camera card. Something totally different than what I am used to comes up. Can't figure it out. My phone in my shirt pocket turns on and makes calls to my last called person. :idunno

I never grew C. Maxima group until last year. I liked pink banana so much but it was not very productive. Only 2 squash on the 1 vine and not jumbo. I am trying Gete Okosomin and Sibley this year. All 3 seem closely related and banana shaped. Sibley is blue gray sometimes with a bit of pink...

66 now headed to 88. AC will be on for the first time today. Tick problem solved. I have no ticks for 2 days. I found 1 each day crawling on the dog's fur. She got treated also. They say it works for mosquitos also. Why had I not heard about this before now. One video on it was 4 years old.

I had germination problems with 2 verities of winter squash. Different sources. Reordered from different sellers. Transplanted more squash, pulled 2 supers off beehives, installed new range hood with fan, and changed furnace filter.

Bought that spray for clothes to keep ticks off. Started using it. Time will tell. Okra is up. Planted glass gem popcorn. Field corn is up 4+ inches in the area. Should be able to save popcorn seed.

Ugh I feel rough. I need to buy some of that spray for my clothes. Says it works for chiggers also. Also can spray on dogs fur. Dog shares ticks with me. Trying to get my fishing buddy lined up but weather and schedules are a problem. Maybe next week.
