  • Hi Goinggone,
    I saw where you said you had a 4'x8' coop. II'm thinking of building something about that size, so I'm interested in how yours has worked out for you. How may birds do you have? (I'd love to see pictures of the inside of your coop and/or a diagrm of the layout.)

    Just do your very best to include plenty of roaming room, EXCELLENT ventilation & wind/precip protection. *I would definitely advise using BlackJack 57 on the coop floor as well.

    People door & chicken doors have not been cut in yet, were slated to do that yesterday but had 75 mph winds-this year’s & last year’s weather has not been nice.

    🤔 probably important to note that the coop floor layers -btm to top are: 2x6 joists, moisture block sheet, sheet metal, moisture block sheet again, plywood, & (coming soon) BlackJack 57. Oldest son is a Sheet metal roofer so these vermin blocking floor choices were in our area of availability.
