I had a hot coffee with 3 hazelnut creamers at my local diner this morning. I went for their amazing Saturday-only chicken and waffles, but the coffee was unexpectedly good!

I’ve read that they eat their body weight in mosquitos every day! And that their natural life span in the wild is around 1 year. They’re really wonderful arachnid friends.
I’ve never seen a male black widow before, I wonder if they keep to the shadows? The females are ruthless...

Today I collected cherry tomatoes as well as spent Hibiscus and Rose petals. I’m going to steep the flowers, hand juice some lemons, and create a lovely lemonade to try and beat this awful summer heat!
If they have a paper nest perhaps they are Paper Wasps! Neutral to beneficial for you garden (they eat insects that eat your plants) and shouldn’t attack unless intentionally disturbed. I would reconsider spraying them.
