Recently, however, I came across an article that said fertile hybrids have already been made and can reproduce generation by generation just like other pure breeds although they're a lot less productive compared to Chickens and Pheasants (only laying 1-2clutches of greenish white eggs ranging from 5-8 eggs each clutch annually).
Roosters have quite large combs and wattles just like pure Chicken but their combs are non-serrated. In addition, they also lack of vibrant colors like normal male fowls and look like a domestic rooster with pheasant's tail and sparsely distributed female pheasants feathers overall.
This pic is absolutely genuine!Let's call it Greater phicken as the author named it. The Great phicken is mainly raised for meat and said to be very pleasant-tasting, at least way better than Chicken.Any thoughts on this topic, you guys ?I know that the hybrids between these two species are no surprise since you might have seen way many. But what about the fertile ones with Chicken-like combs and wattles? Feel free to comment and I would be more than appreciative if any of you have ever created such hybrids that can lay eggs and naturally reproduce and share your valuable experience with me. There are no limits on this topic. Anything about fertile inter-genus hybrids, as long as they show signs of fertility, I'm all ears!.I'll definitely strive to create new breeds if it's worth it.
