Repecka!!!! That’s uniquely amazing and great job!!! You made a seemingly daunting task much easier and more fun to think about!! Our feathered family is doing great in our “up and down” Wisconsin weather!!

Thankyou for all the great info!! We let our chickens (29 plus Roscoe the rooster) free range and they peck and scratch at all sorts of things. We did plant a few patches of oats and rye for them as well; along with every so often, mulching the taller grass in their chicken yard . We recently got our garden in and found out in a quick hurry that some of our plants needed protection from our two legged friends!!!

Nice, easy read and quite informative! I do a little of each cleaning technique and both have worked well. I gather our eggs in a basket and transfer to paper cartons for storage. So far, so good!!!:D

This was SO helpful as I am a HUGE lover of giving our beautiful flock treats!!! I love the sounds they make and how excited they all get when they know we’re headed out with treats!!! I made a horrible mistake the other day and fed them cuties (little oranges) segments. We have 27 total feathered family members and I fed out 6 of those buggers!! They ate them and no one seemed to have any type of reaction; thank goodness!! But I honestly had NO idea the broad range of foods they can eat and love to eat! This was great!!! Thankyou! And as far as the lower rating due to accusing of forced cannibalism??? Birds/animals out in the wild eat what they eat to survive; in the safety of being a pet or member of your homestead, what is fed to them is up to the discrepancy of the owner. Cruel and disrespectful anyone would even post such manure!! And very sad on the UK folks; against the law to feed our scraps??? Yikes and sad!

WOW!! Your article answered every single question that I was seeking an answer to, thank you so much! We’ve had chickens in the past but have never gotten as close to any of them as we are to the flock we have now. I just love them so much and want to take the very best care of them that I can. Our girls (and one rooster, Roscoe) came to us beginning of June. We’ve also adopted a silkie, 2 Rhode Island reds and a handful of bantams!!
