I appreciate your perspective. Culling after two years has always seemed a little "handmaiden's tale" to me . I also prefer to let them live out their own lives.
Thank you for the article. A couple of my hens SLM got bad while I was distracted after my youngest was born. I am grateful to have some options for bad cases.
I have been wondering about this for weeks. Three of my hens started eating the broken foam boards that are on my houses foundation, and I was baffled. I am glad to know it is just something odd that happens.
