Excellent article, great pictures showing the different steps of the foot wrapping process.

I've wrapped my girls in a towel to help immobilize them while performing any kind of medical care by myself. It's useful to preventing them from scratching me, and keeps them calmer during whatever medical procedure or inspection I'm performing on them.

Great information with pictures for visual learners like me.

My broody hen was having difficulties and didn't hatch her clutch of eggs. So I hatched them for her in the incubator and gave her the chicks. She began molting soon after I gave her the chicks and finished molting shortly before she finished rearing them. I wasn't sure what was wrong with her because it was the first time "we" had hatched eggs. Now she looks beautiful again.

Great article, I am a new chicken Mom and wondered what to expect when the time comes. My oldest hens are two years old so I have quite a bit of time to prepare. I didn't know what to look for and how to handle her/his last days and how to make it as easy for her/him at the end. I love my flock and I will hold each of them in their last hour to comfort them. Thank you for your insightful knowledge and experience.

Full disclosure - I'm a retired teacher.
This shouldn't be written - as if, "texting."
This is an "Article" which is a piece of writing for a large audience to inform, motivate, or inspire others. It needs to be written with proper spelling, grammar, and capitalization in order to get your message across, expressing your knowledge, and insure your audience understands the information you have included.
You have introduced the different breeds of chickens and given some specific information, but only included one breed's picture - (Dorking).
Suggestion: It would be an excellent addition to include pictures of all breeds for your audience to see the differences of each one. This helps people determine the type of flock they want to choose.

This article provided excellent pictures of the pests being discussed and very descriptive explanations how to complete the process. My rating is based on some questions regarding how the chicken is effected after this process is completed.
I am a new chicken owner and I have a few questions about using coconut oil on the chicken. How will this effect the chicken in future dustbaths? Won't the coconut oil cake up the dust and other materials in the bath and create a mess on the chicken? How do you prevent this from being an issue?

Thank you, this is very helpful from a new chicken Mom. I'm worried about the cold winter to come in Central Ohio and keeping all my chickens alive. Prayer for my chickens and wish me luck!
