According to the American Poultry Association, heavy breeds need 4sq ft of coop space and 8-10 sq ft for run space. Your coop sounds perfect for 4 birds. Plus you free range them.
I do think chicken wire is not enough protection and I would replace what you have on the coop and at least close them in the coop at night but you’d still have to be worried about daytime predators.
The coop is so well built and nicely painted! And the article is written very well. I really like your gravity feeder and am looking to build a couple for our flocks.

Nice story and build. No instructions but great re-use of materials.

Super simple and function coop that looks really nice! I wish overall dimensions were mentioned and/or a cut list. I'd definitely use smaller mesh for protection.

This is a really nice coop! Very well done, maybe a little over built but it definitely lives up to it's name. I'm thinking the board and batten idea is great but could have been attracted to strips instead of sheets of particle board and it would have saved a lot of money and allowed some extra ventilation. I'd like to have had a cut list if I were to build one like it.

I would find this article very helpful if I were building this coop. I'd have spent the extra bucks on hardware cloth just in case there's more to worry about than a stray cat in the future.
Super cute kids!

This is super cute and a great re-use of materials. It's a nice follow along of the "build". A materials list would be helpful. A cut list not so much since most play forts would be different anyway. The chicken wire needs replaced with hardware cloth for chicken safely.

This article is not detailed enough to allow someone to build a coop like it, which may not have been the goal in writing it anyway. It has some cute ideas though. The chicken wire is definitely a no go.

This isn't really an instructional as there aren't really instructions. It's more of a blog post about a coop.

Great start to the article and I was excited it could be something to try but then it left me hanging with a ton of questions and not enough information to duplicate it.

Nice semi homemade dog house. Great idea for something quick or for someone who doesn't have much experience with building.

This is not something to be copied. It wouldn't be safe and looks like it could be destroyed very easily.
I wouldn't really consider this an "article". It's pics of a project.

This is great! The materials list and instructions are helpful. I just wish some of the sources for odd materials were listed. Following the link helps but it has dead links.

Great repurposing of materials and detailing of features, but building pics and details would have been more helpful.
