I hate to toss them? But I can’t imagine they should be put in compost - wouldn’t that contaminate the compost? And if I cooked them up and fed to chickens, wouldn’t that be prolonging the withdrawal? Not to mention exposing the other girls to the antibiotics?

Garbage. Don't feed back. The whole point is to keep from creating a antibiotic resistance. So you need to throw them away.

What antibiotic are you using? Some antibiotics have specific withdrawal times, anywhere from a couple of days to life time.

Lifetime? I’ve never heard that before. ? It was Sulfatrimeth for 10 days and we are 2 days post meds. Standard googling said 10 days after meds ended.

I put them in the garbage. We have no trash service, so we burn our garbage a couple of times a week, so it wouldn't be a problem. If you have weekly pickup, you could freeze them during the week (to prevent breakage and spoiling), then toss 'em in the trash on pickup day.

Most antibiotics or drugs are not approved by FARAD for use in poultry. Some people do use them when there is a need. Here is one link about using a 43 days egg withdrawal time for SMZ-TMP:
