It did cool off nicely last night, I went out & turned the fan off in the coop. I don't like leaving the man door open if I don't have to. I can't wait for fall...

When the Flight For Life helicopter flys down our canyon somebody’s life has changed forever.
In the garden I cry. At times my sadness is like gravity and I cannot move.
My beloved brother. Who served others his entire life.
I held his hand as he took his last breath.
He gave me Irises.
He gave me unconditional love.
There’s much to do.
Gardeners Life is precious don’t waste it when you have an opportunity to forgive.

Great finds in the garden today cleaned the coops saw color on tomato not quite there but close did get the first maybe only cabbage, 4 jalapeno 2 baby zucchini most the other cabbage went to the chickens they are happy as heck

She was a darling. I think she spent time sitting very still in the basement (often on a high shelf) watching for mice.

I ate my first garden carrot last night. I have a roma tomato ready, I'm going to a festival this weekend & will bring it with me. Along with some sun golds & cukes.

I found my big freezer door open this am & everything in the door & stuff on top thawed. Argh. I know I did it freezing water for the chickens yesterday so I can't even blame Todd.
