It's very strange that the rooster lacks a black comb, usually Easter Eggers carry dark shanks(this means they have the sex linked dermal melanin enhancer id+)

I though the same thing, it I hatched a second rooster (same mix) and he had a black comb for 3 months, but then I turned red. I just figured the easter egger genetics were dominate.

Sadly my cemani rooster was killed by a stray cat about 2 months ago
