I have a 2 yo rooster which has what appears to be some kind of sore on his comb. It appears on both sides of the comb, although one side looks bigger than the other. Has anyone seen this before?

Welcome To BYC!

Your title say Crop Injury, but your description and photo shows comb injury. Is something wrong with his crop too, is so, let us know what's going on there.

The sore on the comb looks to me like a peck wound. I generally leave those alone unless hens are pecking at it making it worse. If that's the case, you can try a bit of pick no more or possibly pine tar which I've read is a picking deterrent.
IF the hens will not leave it alone and it's getting worse, then separating the rooster until it heals works too - I have had to do that!
