Is there a way for me to tell about how old my ducklings are? We bought them from Rural King, and they were already on the larger side. We have 3 Khaki Campbells and 3 White Layers. 2/3 of the Layers look like they have some white coming in under the yellow fluff.

What are you using for bedding on your baby ducklings? Some people recommend sand for their chicks instead of pine shavings. Would this work for ducklings?

I used shavings. Ducklings are way more messy than chicks. So not sure how sand would work.

Get some pictures the first couple days, they grow so fast

Agreed, even with shavings if I didn't change the bedding at least twice weekly the stench from poop soaked in water was horrendous. I can't imagine the weight and difficulty of changing wet poopy sand. In an outdoor enclosure it sounds ideal though.
