Hello and good morning from UK :)

:welcome

These little chick's certainly have a lot of protection with you Shadow and Pepper.
Your dogs look like real sweethearts.

This is my old miniature staffy with my last remaining chicken and a cat that my dog adopted

Definitely be careful with the chicks around Pepper. These Morkies being that they are half Terrier are somewhat prey driven. Toby wants to chase anything that moves. Even when your birds grow up, I'd be careful. Our Maltese barked continuously at the grown birds, however he was good with the chicks in the brooder and when I got chicks out in the livingroom, he was taught to "leave them alone". I just don't trust any dog, especially the Terrier group around chickens. So just use caution. 😊

Oh and you might want to put a screen over the top of that brooder, pretty soon the chicks will be able to fly out into the room.
Yikes! Good to know! Thanks for the heads up!
