Keeping Chickens Away From Child's Play Area

All day today I've been playing chicken babysitter picking up the chickens and chicks from areas they shouldn't be in:lau. The grass is truly greener...

And they WILL find a way.

Hello everyone... Thank you for all of your opinions and wisdom. It's made me think critically about the issue and I've decided to put in chicken tunnels. I think this will be the best way to let them roam but keep our areas poop free 😊

Based on what I see, the only thing that is likely to excite the chickens about the play area is the potential for dust or sunbathing. You might be able to create a more attractive sunbathing and dust bathing pit on north side of mowed area. That might be something as simple as a sand box.

I suspect you will have heavier than average predator issues owing to connectivity with so much woods

Any update? I have a play area similar and am thinking about getting chickens. I really don't care if I just have to "wash the poop off" I just was wondering how it was going.
