Injured duckling

Found my 5 days old duckling with a torn foot. Any advice?

You need to clean it up real good [warm saline rinse ]to keep infection away use an antibiotic ointment on it I don't see how you can do anything But a vet maybe able to attach if you get the duckling to one asap. Or at least take off the part that is severed. Any idea how it happened ?
