To answer hoosier's question, I took way too many pictures of the special radish

And apparently he *did* lose the radish/ring for a little while... He'd put a piece of wood by it to mark it, but some critter must have moved the wood out of the way. So he was a little worried for a while, but eventually found it again. He bought a pretty simple ring, just in case a coon got it... and we're going to go looking for rings soon! We might try antique stores first -- I've never done this before, so I don't really know where to look...

I can't wait to start calling him DH
