Hello!!
I noticed my girl, Daisy, over a week ago sitting in the yard when we let the girls out to roam. But i didnt think anything of it, I thought she was just sun bathing and she still slept on the roost so it didnt strike me as odd. Well last friday i noticed one of the other girls chasing her under a wood pile, and i didnt notice them coming out so I went to check it out. When i got over there I noticed one of the chickens trying to get to Daisy and was pecking her. I had to crawl under to get Daisy out and thats when I noticed she was hurt. So since the other girls were trying to peck her, I seperated her. She has been in a dog crate ever since (4 days).
Its her right leg and it looks like she is unable to step down on her foot and just kicks the air. She sits back on her legs all day. She still eats great and drinks water. Her poops are still normal and there are no scrapes or discoloring on her foot to be bumble foot.
I have read up on Marks disease and i dont believe it is that due to the fact it has not gotten worse or seen other body parts acting weird.
I also checked her Achilles tendon and that appears to be in place. So i am unsure why she wont extend her leg.
But other than that she is alert and still looking good.
I am trying to post a video of her. Do you guys know how? It is saying it does not support my extension?

Can you upload the video to YouTube?

What exactly has she been eating?
Can you get clear photos of each eye?

Is there a wound on the leg?

I can try to!

When I have better light I will get a pick. Butbher eyes look clear to me.
There is no wound, and i dont even feel warm spots to kinda show where it might be hurt.
Here is the link to the food we have

For some reason I can not find the ingredient list of this stuff.
Can you?

See if you can get the video uploaded abd clear pics of each eye tomorrow.

Also...I highly recommend switching what you feed to either a pellet or crumble type feed to prevent problems from not receiving a balanced complete diet.

I am totally down for switching feed. I just really want to keep them free of chemicals and unnecessary ingredients. I want their food to be as natural as possible.

Which leg is she not using?
The video is too short.

Is this bird the same only that was injured 5 months ago in your other videos?
Its her right leg. I will take her out tomorrow and get a better video!
No, sadly we have lost 4 little ones to random issues. This is new for her.

Actually, that is Darla! And she is doing great and just laid her first egg!

Did you by chance look at the ingredient list of the feed we sprout for them?
