How do you guys take such good photos of your chickens?

My girls do not pose for the camera. They are either not interested or in the case of Meghen, Duchess of Sussex, far too interested (ie can I eat it?).
Admittedly I have just taken pictures with my rubbish phone camera.
Anyway, here is a selection of my total failure of a chicken portraiture portfolio. Feel free to add your own rubbish pictures to make me feel better.

Treats. Although my duck naturally likes posing for pictures (as seen on my avatar) IMO, chickens are, stupider(unless you have a really smart chicken, obviously.). If you want them to look at the camera, just put a shiny red thing by the camera, or put the food by the camera. For your information, those photos are hilarious!

One of the keys is to wait for the chickens to realize you are not bringing treats and and take pictures when they start to go about their business again. Another: take LOTS of pics.

haha! these are awesome! the continuous shot setting with a fast shutter speed so you get a million pictures and hope 1 is good.

I use my dad’s cannon camera on sports setting to take pictures of my flock. Also taking pictures that are at chicken level come out much nicer than if you stood and took downward pics of your birds.

Oh you're putting me to shame with your lovely pictures!
I do try getting down to chicken eye level - that's when Meghen pecks at the camera.
I do have a fancy pants camera that I haven't used with them. Sports mode is an idea.

GOOD question and some great tips. But I note that no one has said chain down the roo so you don't get battered while you take your time getting your shots.
