Helpful List of Hatcheries & Breeders

Thanks for the list, although it is outdated. I ran across three or four hatcheries there that have got a new website or are out of business. It would also be helpful if the comments were reviews of the hatcheries. Maybe a new thread?

More than 50 varieties of birds are now available along with over 100 different poultry equipment products. Chicks hatched during the 2011 hatching season were nearly 2,000,000.

Here we are in 2012. Our company is approaching 100 years in business. This year we have increased our hatching egg capacity to 600,000 eggs weekly. We are adding some new breeds to our line up this year, along with a couple we picked up in 2011.

I have not ordered from this place yet...
But they seem to have very good prices especially on broilers..
Burr Farm in Ct.

I know this isnt all of them, but heres a list that may be helpful to some people.
I'll add more as I get the time
One hatchery that is definitely worth adding to this list is Dunlap Hatchery in Caldwell, ID. It is not as large as some of the mega-hatcheries, but I have ordered chicks from them several times and have been very pleased with their service and birds. The folks at Dunlap are very friendly and helpful and I've never lost a chick in shipping (I can't say that about the other three hatcheries I've ordered from). The info. on Dunlap is as follows:

Dunlap Hatchery--located in Caldwell, Idaho. Has over 100 breeds (standard and bantam chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pheasants, quail, and guineas).
Minimum Order--Total of 25 chicks

Hi Kathy,

Took a look at your list, as I was hoping to find something a bit closer to me. I've looked up the reference to Larry's Chickens in Colorado and it seems old and outdated. Even mentions something about Viagra. There is a company called eFowl in Denver. Here is their link: http://www.efowl.com

Thank you for your website. I'll have to check it out more thoroughly later. Looks like you have quite a bit of info on there!
