are turkey eggs hard to hatch what time of the year do they lay eggs?

Thank you! They are Royal Palm turkeys. Last year Salt and Sugar started laying in February, it was a race to get the eggs before they got chilled. Sugar decided that the skid loader was her personal nesting box.

Most of the eggs wouldn't develop, then the wild turkeys came through and we started hatching brown turkeys.

They take 28 days like peas do and we had much better luck with them hatching than the peas. The RP's stopped laying mid to late summer. Those poor turkeys, you should have seen them before moult, those **** guineas had them so torn up, they looked pitiful.

Looking back we now know that the problems we had with poor hatch rate with the peas was due to worms and cocci, than goodness that is behind us now.
