Yes, SEVEN! They were wild chickens, so it was very interesting to see how things would play out with so many cockerels in my backyard. Somehow it never got out of hand & the older chickens would keep them in line.Wow 7! I thought 4 out of 7 was bad

A late to get going day today, mum is ill like with Covid (though she will deny that) and stayed in bed, and I have had a miserable week with not sleeping with my back and leg spasms - I did chores and fell back to sleep till 10:30!the day is almost gone now!
As a result Missy was very annoyed with me when she finally got outside. Hahaha that cat has the ‘annoyed’ expression down pat!

Well it’s going to be a hot one today, I still have to do chores, thrown down hay and haul feed to the barn. At some point laundered - oh and get to town for groceries seeing as how mum must quarantine for 5 days - no casino for her this week

Xzit is now inside with me. Too hot inside the coop for her or anyone else. She seems to enjoy the air conditioning.No playing with the chooks today. They are all under the porch (where it’s cooler) Xzit is in the coop, and doesn’t want to be bothered

Spoke too soon. She called for her rooster, he answered her back and I had to deliver her to Jaffar. I don’t want to be the cause of mayhem! Oh well.
Yup twice a day I haul her butt off that nest and make her go outside to eat fluff around and poop. Marty gave her an egg this morning hahaha - enabler’s!!!!
