Hey, all!
I'm about to break ground on a duck pond. I've read that there are pond plants that I can grow in rocks rather than soil and that there is pond vegetation that will thrive on the ubiquitous duck waste that will invariably get in the water. Are there species that will do both -- grow w/o soil and feed on duck waste?
I do plan on having a pump and changing out the water with some regularity. But I want to know if there are plants that will both grow without soil and assist with filtration as to reduce the frequency of pumping/water change.
If so, I'd appreciate suggestions on which plants will pull double duty.
Thanks for your time!
