Chick swallowed a strand of hair! HELP ASAP!

One of our chicks has swallowed a strand of hair and part of it is sticking out. I am not sure how to help it. Please help me ASAP!!!

my chick did the same and the hair came out when she pooped

ok...i am just worried because it seems like a long piece of hair...

If part of it is sticking out I would suggest you simply pull it out. Truthfully though I dont think a hair would hurt them any. Perhaps someone will correct that assumption.

i also did pull it out slowly that is if its sticking out but if the hair snaps then you will have to wait until she poops it out

ok...i tried that and i think he swallowed too much of it

its scary when that happens, I pull them out but always very gently because I am worried it will hurt them somehow

I just cut off at the beak level whatever long thing it is they have swallowed...for me it was a tarp string (old tarp falling apart), and the chicken never had any problems. I couldn't pull it out.
