This is the first summer our hens will be outside. And as it gets warmer I am afraid of getting mites, lice or anyother bugs that loves chickens just as much as we do!
I have read some things on garlic or nesting box herbs.
Do you guys have things you use that you feel keep your hens safe from bugs?

Your hens are your best bug control! They are bound to pick up the occasional louse, mite etc. but if you offer or let them make a dust bath, that should keep any issues to a minor level, at least in summer. I have read that ferns have a natural insecticide and used to be used in nesting boxes, but I haven't tried it myself.
