Hi I have a bantam chicken that has been trying to lay an egg since 4:00 central time yday. She still hasn’t laid the egg. Last night I tried feeling for an egg putting her in a warm epsom salt bath but nothing still this morning or afternoon. She cokes out to eat and still has energy but still goes back and tries to lay an egg. Please help she is only 1 years old.

I think she's broody. Does she puff up when you get near?
She usually does yes. I’m just confused on how she has been trying to lay for almost 24 hours. Is that concerning. I know she still comes out to eat but should I be worried about egg binding

Really? Is there a reason why?
Why as to why I think she's broody or why as to why is she broody?
I think she's broody because she's still getting up to eat and drink and acting fairly normal other than nesting and growling.
Egg binding would have different symptoms.
She's broody because her hormones are up.
