Adding goats?

I've had my babies for almost 4 years now. I want to increase my little farm to include goats. Are there any things I should be concerned about? I do NOT intend to have them in the same area/free range together so I'm not worried about the goats hurting my duckies but I worry about the possibility of the spread of parasites or disease one way or the other. Anyone with experience with this?
