3 week old Baby Chick suddenly (overnight) not walking right. She’s walking on her hocks & using wings for balance.

She was fine yesterday, this morning I noticed she didn’t come out from under the brooder plate, She looks like she can’t walk, she can move her legs but can’t stand up and walk. Nothing looks broken or out of place to me but I’m not sure. I also don’t know how to separate her without her freaking out. They have been very flighty lately and maybe she tried to jump up on the perch shelf too high or disc-located something. I gave her a drop of children’s motrin.

I would try some daily poultry vitamins to see if it helps. You may need to give them for a few weeks. It is a bit young for something like Mareks to show up, so it may be a deficiency, or injury. Be careful administrating any liquids by mouth as they can easily aspirate and die. So take it slowly.
