Large scale set up in a barn??

That’s what I was thinking. I was originally basing it off of 2 square feet per bird. Even at 2.5 square feet, there would be plenty of of room for 200 birds.

I believe it’s roughly 20x25. May even be bigger. I am going this week to check it out.

Large scale set up in a barn??

A trial run is definitely a good idea. Thank you! I usually take my birds somewhere to be processed, so I will definitely check with them that they can accommodate that many at a time.

    Roll away nest boxes

I have egg eaters. I’m looking at getting roll away nest boxes. My birds tend to lay on the ground and not in their nest boxes, so I am not looking at spending a ton of money on boxes that they might not use. I found these and wanted to know if anyone has used these?

    Fecal float results

Thank you. I did start with one day of the safeguard before I posted but wanted to make sure I was on the right track. I have seen where I need to retreat 10 days later with the safeguard, what are your thoughts on that?

    Fecal float results

No, it was so frustrating. She just told me corrid and safeguard, like I already planned on I just wanted to know how long to treat for. She did not give me any recommendations on that. I won’t be going back.

    Worms- help identify and treat

Are the eggs I’ve collected in the last few days before noticing the worms still edible? Should I treat all chickens? I don’t know for sure what chicken it’s coming from. What is the egg withdrawal period?

So crazy. I got some from farm and home on March 30. They were only a couple days old and they are sneezing too. I’ve had layers for years and have been doing meant birds for 2 years now and don’t recall them ever sneezing! Mine are still in a brooder but I’m afraid they might transmit a...

    Lice and coop bedding

First time treating lice..‍ I know what to use, but I was curious to know what people do with the coop bedding. I usually use mine for compost but that’s obviously not a good idea. How should it be disposed of to help keep re-infestation to a minimum?
